Program Overview

The Municipal 360 Chart of Accounts Standardization Program (BC) is an 8-week initiative designed to help BC municipalities modernize and update their chart of accounts (COA). 

While it's often highlighted as an issue (in financial reporting, budgeting, and during year-end), it can be difficult to find the time and resources to update your COA. This can become frustrating, as poorly functioning COA designs can continue to slow down processes, introduce errors into reports, and divert staff time from other more critical projects.

This program is being introduced as a new option to help municipalities replace their dated or broken COA designs with an established standard COA framework. The Municipal 360 (M360) COA framework aligns with PSAS, financial statements, and LGDE reporting categories, while also allowing finance teams the ability to fine-tune details to their specific requirements.
